Bottega dell’Arcimboldo (Florence Art Academy) was founded by a Florentine Master Artist, Domenico Mileto, for the purpose of restoring the magic atmosphere that was prevalent in the Renaissance Florentine workshops and to teach students who deeply desire to study with passion the techniques of true “craftsmanship”.

The School

The school’s structure is based on the traditional Renaissance and Neoclassicism academic foundation.  The courses have been developed by Domenico Mileto, and other professional Florentine artists who are teachers at this academy.  Students learn the traditional methods of classical drawing, cast drawing, cast painting, and portrait studies.  Students can enroll at anytime during the year (except August) and can study for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years.

Location

The school is located just 10 minutes from the historic center of Florence, Italy in Piazza del Cure.  Students can easily get to the center to visit the beautiful Duomo, the Medici Chapel, Pitti Palace and the museums that are filled with world-famous paintings and sculptures.
